Work in Progress

My paintings begin in uncertainty.
A blank canvas, a quiet idea, a single mark.

Sometimes the colors fight each other.
Sometimes the shapes refuse to make sense.
What looks like a mistake often becomes the heart of the work.

I layer, erase, paint over, and begin again.
The canvas teaches me patience, courage, and trust in the process.

Every finished piece carries the memory of its struggles
the wrong strokes, the heavy textures, the unexpected turns.
These are not failures.

They are the steps that lead the work to life.

In my studio, every work in progress is a conversation
between imagination and reality,
between what I planned and what the art wants to become.
